Bacardi has released a limited edition bottling of its Dewar’s Scotch whisky brand to mark this year’s US Open Golf tournament.
Dewar’s The Champions Edition consists of a blend of double-aged grain and single malt whiskies that have a minimum age of 19 years. The liquid has been finished in American ex-Bourbon casks.
The release is available in “extremely limited” – albeit unspecified – numbers and can be purchased at selected higher-end wine and spirits retailers across the US, or via alcohol e-tailer ReserveBar.
The Champions Edition is the first expression following the signing in March of a three-year partnership between the tournament and Dewar’s that will see the brand produce an annual commemorative bottling.
“Designed for golf and whisky aficionados alike, this first of its kind blend is inspired by our exciting partnership with the US Open, as well as our sporting legacy and commitment to supporting ‘champions’ in all endeavours,” said Dewar’s North America VP, Brian Cox.
