Suntory Beverage & Food has added an extension to its Lucozade energy drinks brand’s Alert range in the UK.

Lucozade Alert Original comprises the same flavour formula as Lucozade Energy Original and has been added to the Alert line based on customer feedback, the company said this week. The variant joins Tropical Burst and Cherry Blast in the Lucozade Alert portfolio.

“Over the past year, consumption patterns have changed, drinking occasions have evolved and we know the importance of converting these insights into action through the launch of new flavours, formats and NPD,” said Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I’s head of Lucozade, Zoe Trimble. “We’re delighted to launch Lucozade Alert Original to meet shoppers’ demand even further.”

In June, Suntory Beverage & Food announced a US$8.5m investment in measures to reduce the environmental impact of Lucozade’s operations.
