Sibling American football players Travis and Jason Kelce have invested in Ohio-based Garage Beer Co.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Garage Beer Co. was formed last year. According to US media reports at the time, Ohio-based Braxton Brewing Co. teamed up with executive Andy Sauer to spin off its Garage Beer brand into a new company to sell and distribute the products.
Garage Beer, a 4% abv lager, is sold in more than a dozen US states, including Ohio, Montana and New Jersey.
The statement announcing the Kelces’ funding described the brothers as “significant investors” in the business.
“It comes down to quality for me. I think everyone knows I like to have a couple beers now and then, so being an owner of Garage Beer and heavily involved in making the best light beer is exciting,” Travis Kelce was quoted as saying.
