Republic National Distributing Company has lined up the purchase of “certain assets” belonging to National Wine & Spirits in Indiana.
 
The spirits and wine distributor, which claims to be the country’s second largest, said earlier today (17 March) that it will absorb the unspecified assets from NWS into its current operations in the state, and name the new entity Republic National Distributing Company of Indiana.

Financial details behind the transaction were not disclosed.

“After carefully reviewing our options to partner with a national wholesaler, Republic National was the clear choice,” said Jim LaCrosse, the owner and chairman of NWS. “Our association with RNDC will provide stability to the market and ensure continued superior sales and service to the sixth most important adult beverage market in the US.”

The transaction will complete once the licensing process has been navigated, the companies noted.
 
Greg Mauloff will continue as EVP of sales & marketing, while John Baker will remain as chief operating officer of RNDC-Indiana.
