Boulevard Brewing Co, the US craft brewer majority-owned by Belgium’s Duvel Moortgat, is expanding its distribution to 28 states after agreeing three new tie-ups.
The Kansas-based firm agreed a deal with Brown Distributing late last week to roll out its beers to Florida, the company said in a statement. This follows agreements last month for distribution in New Jersey with Peerless Beverage Company and a launch in Philadelphia with Muller Inc, according to reports. Boulevard’s beers are also available in the District of Columbia, aside from 28 US states.
In Florida, the company said four of its year-round beers, including its flagship beer Pop-Up IPA, will be launched early next month.
“We’ve been looking at Florida for quite a while,” said Steve Mills, Boulevard’s vice president of sales. “We’ve found the ideal partner in Brown Distributing, and look forward to sharing our beers with the rising tide of Florida craft beer enthusiasts.”
Privately-owned Duvel Moortgat took a controlling, majority stake in Boulevard late last year for a reported US$100m.
