The proportion of drinks manufacturing and supply companies hiring for data analytics-related positions rose in October, according to recent research, with just under 67% recruiting for at least one position in the area.

The figure, which features in GlobalData’s latest analysis, is an increase on the 63.3% of companies who were hiring for data analytics-related vacancies a year ago. In the month prior this year, the number approached 73%.

Of all advertised vacancies in the beverage industry in October, 4.3% were linked to data analytics, a slight lift on the 4.2% proportion in the same month of 2020.

The analysis shows that beverage companies are hiring for data analytics jobs at a rate lower than the average for all companies within GlobalData's job analytics database. The average among all companies stood at 5.9% in October 2021.
