June 2022 has seen a decrease of 4.19% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.25% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering a decrease of 0.01% over the last three-month average share.
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 38.64% in June 2022, a 10.53% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 34.09% in June 2022, marking an 11.76% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 20.45% in June 2022, a 50% drop from May 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 22.64% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry during June 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 24 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 20% over the previous month, followed by San Miguel with 7 jobs and a 16.67% growth. Carlsberg with 4 IT jobs and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a 75% drop, respectively, while Anheuser-Busch InBev recorded a 57.14% decline with 3 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 68.18% share in June 2022, a 14.29% decrease over May 2022. Philippines featured next with an 18.18% share, down 11.11% over the previous month. Thailand recorded a 4.55% share, a drop of 50% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.36%, down by 40% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.73% share, registered a growth of 233.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 11.36% share, up 25% over May 2022, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.55%, recording a month-on-month decline of 77.78%.
