IT jobs accounted for a 4.27% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering an increase of 0.88% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 42.5% in November 2022, a 78.95% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 30% in November 2022, marking an 84.62% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 17.5% in November 2022, a 51.72% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 62.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry during November 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 53 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 76.67% over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 14 jobs and a 1300% growth. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners with 5 IT jobs and Mondelez International with 4 jobs, recorded a 28.57% drop and a 20% drop, respectively, while Anheuser-Busch InBev recorded a 60% decline with 2 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 78.75% share in November 2022, a 43.18% increase over October 2022. New Zealand featured next with a 5% share, flat growth over the previous month. Australia recorded a 3.75% share, a drop of 70% compared with October 2022.
Mid Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Mid Level jobs held a share of 57.5%, up by 142.11% from October 2022. Junior Level positions with a 37.5% share, registered a decline of 34.78% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.75% share, down 62.5% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.25%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
