Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 40% in October 2022, a 36.36% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 24% in October 2022, marking a 28.57% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 18.67% in October 2022, a 41.67% drop from September 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 15.09% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry during October 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 30 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 114.29% over the previous month, followed by Coca-Cola with 9 jobs and a flat growth. Carlsberg with 8 IT jobs and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners with 7 jobs, recorded a 52.94% drop and a 61.11% drop, respectively, while San Miguel recorded a 75% increase with 7 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 57.33% share in October 2022, a 16.22% increase over September 2022. Australia featured next with a 14.67% share, down 38.89% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 10.67% share, a growth of 700% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.67%, down by 35.94% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.67% share, registered a growth of 283.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.67% share, up 700% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 4%, recording a month-on-month growth of 200%.
