IT jobs accounted for a 2.18% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.3% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 46.31% in November 2022, a 2.82% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 17.45% in November 2022, marking a 27.78% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 14.09% in November 2022, a 52.27% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 10.95% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s drinks industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Nestle posted 53 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 381.82% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 32 jobs and a 65.22% drop. Coca-Cola Consolidated with 17 IT jobs and Anheuser-Busch InBev with 14 jobs, recorded a 21.43% rise and a 6.67% drop, respectively, while Mondelez International recorded a 20% increase with 6 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s drinks industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 79.87% share in November 2022, a 16.78% decrease over October 2022. Mexico featured next with a 16.11% share, down 48.94% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 4.03% share, a growth of 50% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.7%, down by 34.13% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.82% share, registered a growth of 54.55% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 21.48% share, down 30.43% over October 2022.
