June 2022 has seen a decrease of 6.28% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 2.45% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering an increase of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 53.21% in June 2022, a 25.89% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 16.67% in June 2022, marking a 39.53% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 14.74% in June 2022, a 53.06% drop from May 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 23.75% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s drinks industry during June 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 51 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 30.14% over the previous month, followed by Coca-Cola Consolidated with 26 jobs and a 7.14% drop. Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV with 19 IT jobs and Anheuser-Busch InBev with 14 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 41.67% drop, respectively, while The Coca-Cola recorded a 25% decline with 12 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s drinks industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 79.49% share in June 2022, a 33.33% decrease over May 2022. Mexico featured next with a 19.87% share, down 24.39% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 0.64% share, a drop of 50% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.41%, down by 35.29% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 26.92% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 16.03% share, down 46.81% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.64%, recording a month-on-month decline of 75%.
