Arctic Blue Beverages Oy has launched a gin-based oat liqueur in its domestic market.

Announced by the Finnish brand owner yesterday, Arctic Blue Oat is produced using gin distilled in Ilomantsi, a village in Eastern Finland. Also included in the production process are organic Finnish oats

Arctic Blue Oat, which is vegan and gluten-free, is described by the company as a “premium product” but has not been designated an SRP. The liqueur will be available in 50cl bottles via Finnish alcohol e-tailer Alko, as well as on cruise liner Viking Line journeys from Finland to Sweden and Estonia.

Additionally, Arctic Blue CEO Valtteri Eroma confirmed the product would roll-out globally later this year.

In 2018, Scotland’s Colonsay Beverages released a vodka made using oats grown in the country.
