The Australian soft drinks producer Coca-Cola Amatil is planning to launch another flavour variant onto the Australian market, with the arrival of Cherry Coke.

Though the drink was developed some 15 years ago and has already been available on the UK, Us and German markets, it was never launched in Australia.

The company will apparently use the brand to target a younger audience than it currently does with the traditional brand and the recently launched Vanilla Coke.

Cherry Coke will be the seventh Coke flavour to enter the Australian market, following on the heels of Coca-Cola, Diet Coca-Cola, Lemon Coke, Diet Lemon Coke, Vanilla Coke and Diet Vanilla Coke.
