Brown-Forman has bolstered its stable of Jack Daniel’s RTDs in the US, adding a third flavour to the line.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple Fizz joins the Whiskey & Cola and Whiskey, Honey & Lemonade variants that were both launched in the market just over a year ago. Like its siblings, the new flavour carries an abv of 7%.
The move comes 21 months after the group unveiled full-strength Tennessee Apple. The extension posted a strong set of numbers in Brown-Forman’s fiscal-2021, to the end of April, growing year-on-year sales by 98% on the corresponding period 12 months earlier. Flagship Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, however, came in 4% down in sales terms.
Late last year, Brown-Forman cleared the decks to focus on its spirits-based RTD business in the US, offloading the supply, sales and distribution of malt-based Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails to Pabst Brewing Co.
