Código 1530 has teamed with Playboy for a limited-edition Extra Añejo Tequila.
Rare Hare Double Barrel contains aged Tequila – “for over two years” – that has matured in French oak Napa Valley Cabernet wine barrels prior to a finish in Spanish Sherry-Fino casks. The ultra-premium expression is packaged in a wooden box with a clear, etched sliding front.
Each of the 1,530 units available is individually numbered.
The two companies described this week’s release as “the inaugural Rare Hare Tequila”, suggesting more iterations can be expected in the future.
Privately-owned Código 1530 has had a US presence since late-2016, with two mezcals hitting the market two months ago.
