Edrington is continuing the cask strength series of single malts from its Highland Park Scotch whisky brand.

Cask Strength Release No 2, which is released globally this month, is a no-age statement Scotch that has been matured mainly in ex-Sherry European and American oak casks. Ex-Bourbon casks have also been used in a “small quantity”.

As well as online from Highland Park’s official website, the latest bottling is also available through specialist spirits retailers in the brand’s markets.

The series represents a permanent extension of the Highland Park portfolio.

In late-June, Edrington reported a 15% decline in sales from 2020, due to a combination of the tariff row between the EU/UK and the US that hit single malt Scotch and the absence of the Global Travel Retail sales channel thanks to the pandemic.
