Edrington’s The Macallan Harmony Collection Cacao Edition single malt Scotch – Product Launch

Edrington has launched the debut expression in a new annual series from single malt Scotch The Macallan that will focus on sustainability.

The Macallan Harmony Collection’s first iteration, Rich Cacao, comprises whisky that has spent an unspecified time in ex-Sherry American and European oak casks. Created in collaboration with Spanish pastry chef, Jordi Roca, the expression is housed in a recyclable and biodegradable presentation box, made using natural by-products in the chocolate-making process such as discarded husks from cacao pods.

From next month, 200 limited edition tasting sets, featuring a 70cl bottle of Rich Cacao and a selection of Compartés Chocolate, will be available to purchase from alcohol e-tailer, ReserveBar.

“This exquisite single malt offers a delightful whisky and chocolate pairing experience and the chance to elevate The Macallan experience to a new dimension,” said The Macallan’s whisky maker, Polly Logan.
