Halewood Artisanal Spirits has announced a new single cask bottling from its John Crabbie & Co brand.

The 22 Years Old Orkney Single Malt Whisky has been finished in a Sherry cask and is limited to 253 units. The expression spent 21 years in ex-Bourbon casks before spending six months in a Palo Cortado Sherry cask at Crabbie’s warehouse in Edinburgh.

The whisky was bottled at an abv 47.5% and is non-chill filtered with natural colour.

Last month, Halewood revealed the inaugural release from its now-mothballed pilot Chair Pier Distillery. Chair Pier Single Malt was produced at the Edinburgh micro-distillery, which was being used to make spirit while Halewood constructed its larger Bonnington Distillery, also in Edinburgh.
