Ian Macleod Distillers has launched a pre-mix extension of its Smokehead single malt Scotch whisky brand.
The two-strong line-up comprises Smokehead whisky from Islay ‘mixed with Cola’ and ‘mixed with Ginger’, both at 6% abv per 33cl can. The company claims the expressions are the first single malt-based RTDs available in the UK.
“There is a long-standing debate whether a single malt should be mixed, but Smokehead is an unapologetically bold smoky whisky that is made to be enjoyed however you want it,” said Smokehead’s brand director, Iain Weir.
Details on the availability of Smokehead single malt RTDs were not immediately available.
In December, the company ran an Instagram and Facebook-based consumer activation in the UK to promote its Smokehead Skull Gift Tin over the Christmas holidays.
