New Belgium Brewing has appointed marketing chief Shaun Belongie as its new CEO.
Belongie, the US craft brewer’s chief marketing officer for the last five years, succeeds Steve Fechheimer, who stepped down in August.
Danielle McLarnon, who has filled in as interim CEO, will return to her role as CFO at the Kirin-owned brewer.
Before joining New Belgium Brewing, Belongie worked at Kraft Foods and Nestlé.
In a statement announcing Belongie’s appointment, New Belgium Brewing pointed to his role in helping to grow the sales of its Voodoo Ranger brand from 3m to 9m cases “over a three-year period”, without citing the time frame.
“New Belgium Brewing is a special place, powered by the best people in the business,” Belongie was quoted as saying in the statement.
