Mast-Jägermeister has promoted from within as the head of its US operations makes way for Joe Fortune.

The company, which owns the liqueur brand of the same name, has confirmed that the current CEO of its division in the country, Jeff Popkin, is calling time on his tenure. Popkin, who transitioned when Sidney Frank Importing Co became Mast-Jägermeister US five years ago, will be replaced by current chief commercial officer Fortune.
Prior to joining the group in mid-2016 as CFO, Fortune previously worked for Disaronno International and Diageo.
Mast-Jägermeister credited Popkin with having been “instrumental” in the group’s acquisition of a stake in Teremana Tequila earlier this month.
“We are forever grateful for Jeff’s unwavering commitment to Jägermeister in the US and globally,” said group CEO Michael Volke. “Jeff’s business accomplishments and assemblance of a stellar team has been integral in the new positioning of the brand and established our solid foundation for continued success.”
Also this week, Mast-Jagermeister announced a change at the helm of its Global Travel Retail division, with Tobias Witte taking over from Dietmar Franke.
