Pensador’s Pensador Espadín mezcal – Product Launch

Pensador has sourced a second expression to add to its namesake mezcal brand’s portfolio.

The three-year-old start-up, which debuted with Pensador Ensamble, is releasing a 100% Espadín iteration in the UK this month. Produced in the Miahuatlán area of Mexico’s Oaxaca region, the latest addition has been distilled by father & son Atenogenes and Jose Garcia.

Pensador has been designed to “promote a better understanding of how the terroir of different regions of Mexico can shine through mezcal and give each its own identity”. The company intends to partner with different producers in Miahuatlán.

Ten per cent of the proceeds from each bottle sold have been earmarked for charitable and sustainability donations in the region.
