The activation features US comedy actor & writer Mindy Kaling in a nationwide TV spot and highlights the health benefits of movement. PepsiCo said the push “comes at a time when consumers are seeking products with functional ingredients” and ways to help support a “healthy immune system”.

Propel Immune Support, launched in October last year, is a zero-sugar bottled water in two flavours that contains a range of vitamins as well as zinc. According to the brand owner, a single-serve 20oz (60cl) bottle has the 100% recommended daily intake of vitamin C and 30% of the recommended daily dose of zinc. The SRP on a bottle is US$1.49.

Twelve months ago, Talking Rain, the owner of the Sparkling Ice brand, launched the “immunity-boosting” Talking Rain Essentials. Ingredients include zinc, calcium, magnesium and a range of vitamins.
