UK spirits producer The Cotswolds Distillery has confirmed the launch of its first product, a dry gin set for release this month.
The distillery, which opened this summer in England’s Cotswolds region, said today the gin uses nine botanicals, including local lavender and bay leaf as well as grapefruit, lime and black pepper. The first bottling run will be available for sale from 19 September.
The Cotswolds Distillery is owned by former hedge fund manager Daniel Szor, who plans to release whisky and other spirits brands as well as gin under the distillery’s name. Head distiller Alex Davies joined the Shipston-on-Stour-based producer from Chase Distillery in Herefordshire in June.
