Teeling Whiskey has launched a new limited-edition expression under its namesake Irish whiskey brand.

Teeling Renaissance Series 4 is an 18-year-old single malt that was aged initially in ex-Bourbon barrels for around 16 years before being finished for an unspecified period of time in ex-red wine casks. The 46% abv iteration, which is limited to 9,000 units, is available now from the Teeling distillery along with selected Ireland-based retailers and alcohol e-tailers in the market such as The Celtic Whiskey Shop and Irishmalts.com.

The brand owner also confirmed that the whiskey will roll out to selected retailers in Belgium, the UK, Holland, France, Denmark, Italy, Russia and selected Asian markets in the coming months.

The expression joins three others in the ‘aged for 18 years’ Renaissance range, launched in 2019 with a Madeira wine-aged bottling.

“These releases are a celebratory bottling series that mark the true Renaissance of Dublin as the epicentre for world-class, city-based whiskey distillation,” said Teeling founder Jack Teeling.

Earlier this month, the company launched a 13-Year-Old Single Grain Irish whiskey.
