Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits has appointed an executive from fellow US wine group Delicato Family Wines as its new chief operating officer.

Corey Beck will join Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits on 1 May, reporting to president and CEO Bob Torkelson.

Beck will be responsible for “ensuring operational efficiency and continued innovation across all aspects of the business,” the company said in a statement.

According to vice chairman and senior vice president Mario Trinchero, Beck’s “perspective will be valuable to our organisation”.

A native of Calistoga, Beck joined Delicato Family Wines more than three years ago as EVP for winemaking. Before working there, he spent over two decades with Francis Ford Coppola Winery, with three years as CEO.

At Trinchero, the Neyers Vineyards brand owner, Beck will oversee key divisions including viticulture, winemaking, and production.

In a statement, Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits said the appointment comes as it “continues to strengthen its portfolio,” which includes more than 50 brands.

Last year, the group launched a “luxury” wine project in partnership with viticulturist David Abreu, beginning with the 2024 vintage.

2024 also saw Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits expand its Spanish wine offering in the US by adding four labels from Celler Vall Llach: Mas de la Rosa, Embruix, Porrera Vi de Vila White, and Porrera Vi de Vila Red.

In addition to its own wine portfolio, Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits imports wines from Italy’s Famiglia Cotarella and Australia’s Angove Family Winemakers. The group has a presence in spirits with brands such as Tres Agaves Tequila and Trincheri vermouth.
