Nor-Cal Beverage Company, a US co-manufacturer of products including juices and energy drinks, has a new owner.
The California-based business, set up by the Deary family in 1937, has been sold to an affiliate of private-equity firm Manna Capital Partners.
Manna Beverages & Ventures snapped up Nor-Cal Beverage Company for an undisclosed sum. The deal is the first acquisition made by Manna Beverages & Ventures, which was set up in 2021.
Nor-Cal Beverage Company runs two facilities located in the Californian cities of Anaheim and Sacramento. According to the company’s website, the business bottles more than 80m cases annually. As well as co-packing, the group sells energy drinks under its Go Girl brand.
In a statement, Manna Beverages & Ventures said it would “continue to build upon Nor-Cal Beverage Company’s 86-year history as a leading partner for brands in the beverage industry”.
“This acquisition will allow us to offer our customers a wider range of services and solutions, strengthening our position as a leader in the beverage industry,” Manna Capital Partners managing partner Kevin Attkisson said.
