Inertia Beverage Group has confirmed a change of CEO.

The California-based wine industry service provider said yesterday (4 March) that Joseph Waechter is set to replace Ted Jansen, who left the company to join his family in Seattle, Washington, and to pursue new opportunities.

Waechter has assumed the position with immediate effect, joining Inertia from California Pacific Capital, where he was managing director. He also spent 15 years at DHL.

“Joe’s logistics and fulfillment experience makes him a perfect fit for his new job at Inertia as it continues to build the most full-featured end-to-end platform for eCommerce and its constituent parts for online sales in the wine industry,” said Inertia’s chairman Dave Manougian.

Founded in 2002, Inertia provides direct sales technology and services to the wine industry.
