David Wilson, who spent five years as Beam Suntory’s GTR MD, joins from his current position as MD for Quality Spirits International, William Grant’s specialist private label drinks company. Wilson left Beam Suntory in 2019.
Wilson will report in to William Grant’s commercial director, Doug Bagley, who also has high-level experience in the channel. Bagley led Diageo’s GTR operations for three years before leaving the company in 2016.
“I am delighted to be joining William Grant & Sons and returning to the important and dynamic Travel Retail business,” said Wilson. “It has been an incredibly difficult time for Travel Retail recently, but I very much look forward to working with the team and reconnecting with many GTR colleagues and friends globally, as we work hard together, to secure a successful future for all.”
