Australia’s Brown Family Wine Group has picked Coterie Holdings’ wholesaler Hallgarten & Novum Wines as its exclusive UK distributor for its Brown Brothers Wines range.
The Brown Brothers portfolio includes its Chardonnay Estate Range, as well as the Tarrango Explorer Series and zero-alcohol wines such as its Brown Brothers Moscato Rosé Zero.
“We are very excited to welcome Brown Brothers Wines diverse range of wines into our portfolio", Hallgarten & Novum Wines portfolio director Jim Wilson said in a statement.
"The selection we have added to our portfolio really does offer something for everybody; ticking the boxes for low and no alcohol wines, as well as traditional styles from the Victoria region".
Hallgarten & Novum Wines will distribute the Brown Brothers Wines portfolio in UK retail and hospitality sectors. The portfolio was previously handled in the UK by Enotria & Coe.
Commenting on the news, Brown Family Wine Group CEO Cameron MacFarlane said: “As we welcome our new partners Hallgarten & Novum Wines, we are confident that 2024 will mark a new phase of growth for Brown Family Wine group in the UK market.
"We are determined to further expand and strengthen our brand presence and are committed to building a long-term partnership.”
The Brown Family Wine Group operates Australian vineyards in the Victoria and Tasmania regions.
Hallgarten & Novum Wines is a Luton-based wholesaler that distributes, imports and supplies a variety of wines to the UK on-premise and off-premise channels.
It was acquired by the UK fine wine group Coterie Holdings last December from the Pieroth family of winemakers, who first acquired the wholesaler in 1972 through their holding company WIV Wein International.
Coterie is a holding company for bonded storage facility Coterie Vaults, wine lending business Jera, wine merchant Lay and Wheeler and importer-distributor Hallgarten and Novum Wines.
