Nemiroff, the Ukraine-based distiller, has struck distribution deals in Egypt and Tunisia.
The company has appointed tobacco and spirits distributor Odyssey Group to handle its De Luxe and The Inked Collection vodkas.
The spirits will be available at outlets including Egypt Air Duty Free Shops and Misr Foreign Trade from the third quarter of the year.
Nemiroff said the agreement with Odyssey was the first time it had signed an official distribution deal in Africa. Its products have been on sale in markets including Nigeria and South Africa through wholesalers and traders.
Yuriy Sorochynskiy, Nemiroff’s CEO, said Egypt and Tunisia “offer tremendous potential”.
He added: “Egypt, in particular, is poised for substantial growth in the alcoholic beverages sector, driven by rising demand from younger adults and the market is expected to expand due to new product developments and retail expansions.”
Nemiroff does not disclose revenue figures but said its total volume sales rose 42% in 2022 to 3.4m cases.
Nohra Ramzi, the company’s area manager for the Middle East, Africa and Asia, told Just Drinks the distiller “saw remarkable growth in the UK, Finland, and France”, without disclosing figures.
Ramzi added sales of De Luxe at travel-retail outlets “almost doubled” in Germany, Cyprus, Poland and France.
Earlier this year, Nemiroff announced it was entering India through a distribution deal with Amistad Spirits.
Nemiroff’s main production facilities are located in central Ukraine near the town of Nemyriv.
