Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits has launched a new expression from its Redemption whiskey brand in the US.

Redemption Cognac Cask Finish comprises the company’s High Rye Bourbon that has been finished for an unspecified period in ex-Ferrand Cognac barrels. The limited-edition is available now from selected spirits retailers in the US, while supplies last.

“Redemption is on a mission to bring rye back to a new generation of consumers with high-quality whiskeys meant to be shared and savoured,” said Redemption’s master blender, Dave Carpenter. “Our new, limited-edition Cognac Cask Finish invites consumers to take a step back in time through the liquid.”

Last month, Pernod Ricard launched a whiskey from its Texan TX brand that has been aged in ex-Cognac barrels for 17 months.
