Diageo has launched a limited-edition experimental beer under its Guinness brand.
Salt and Lime Ale, unveiled today, is flavoured with key lime puree and sea salt. The extension will be brewed at Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, Maryland, where a number of other limited-run Guinnneses have been created.
“Our historic yeast that makes our stouts so special is used in almost every experimental beer we create, and Salt & Lime Ale is no exception,” said Guinness Open Gate Brewery Baltimore’s brew master, Peter Wiens.
Salt & Lime Ale will be on sale for a limited time in the next few months from the Baltimore brewery’s taproom as well as retailers in Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
Last week, Diageo expanded the US reach of its Guinness Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Beer.
