Ardbeg Scorch, a no-age-statemented single malt matured in “heavily-charred” ex-Bourbon American oak casks, is available now. On sale in limited – albeit unspecified – numbers, the whisky will also hit selected specialist retailers.
While ‘Feis Ile’, which runs until this Saturday, takes place online this year, visitors to the Ardbeg distillery will also be able to buy the extension.
Earlier this year, the Moet Hennessy-owned brand added a 25-year-old version of the single malt to its permanent portfolio.
Scotch stablemate Glenmorangie earned a namecheck in Moet Hennessy’s first-quarter results in April, when year-on-year sales leapt by 36%.
